Order Coupon

Generate a discount coupon for a customer's next order after they complete a qualifying purchase. Requires Ezhance Pro.

Order Coupon promotions generate a discount code for the customer's next purchase after they complete a qualifying order. Unlike Cart Discounts that reduce the current order, Order Coupons are a retention tool that brings customers back. Requires Ezhance Pro.

How Order Coupons Work

When an order reaches a qualifying WooCommerce status (typically "Completed" or "Processing"), Ezhance evaluates the promotion rules. If all conditions are met, a unique coupon code is generated and delivered to the customer via the Thank You page, order confirmation email, or both.

Coupon Settings

  • Coupon Type — Percentage Discount or Fixed Cart Discount
  • Coupon Value — The discount amount (e.g., 10 for 10% or $10 off)
  • Duration — How long the coupon is valid (e.g., 30 days)
  • Unit — Days, Weeks, Months, or Years

Voucher Display Settings

Configure where and how the coupon appears:

  • Display Location — Thank You Page, Order Email, or both
  • Voucher Title — The main heading on the coupon card
  • Voucher Subtitle — Secondary heading
  • Voucher Description — Promotional text; supports placeholders: {{coupon_code}}, {{discount}}, {{customer_name}}, {{expiry_date}}, {{store_name}}

Setup

  1. Go to Ezhance → Promotions → Create Promotion.
  2. Select Order Coupon as the promotion type.
  3. Set the coupon type, value, and expiry duration.
  4. Configure eligibility rules to control which orders qualify (e.g., order total, customer role, first-time customer).
  5. Set the display location and customize the voucher text.
  6. Configure schedule and usage limits, then save.

Practical Examples

  • First-order reward — 10% off the next purchase, valid for 30 days
  • High-spend incentive — $50 off when order total exceeds $500
  • VIP loyalty — 15% off for customers with 5+ previous orders, valid 90 days
  • Holiday campaign — 20% off, 14-day validity for seasonal purchases

Important Notes

  • Coupons are generated after order completion — they do not appear during the shopping or checkout phase.
  • The customer must check the Thank You page or their order confirmation email to receive the coupon.
  • Use Purchase History conditions to exclude customers who have already received a coupon.
