How Ezhance Works

Understand the five-step promotion workflow that every Ezhance promotion follows.

Ezhance organizes every promotion across the same logical sequence, regardless of how simple or complex the campaign is. Understanding this workflow makes it much easier to configure and troubleshoot promotions.

The Promotion Workflow

Every promotion in Ezhance follows this five-step path:

  1. Promotion Type — The discount or reward being offered
  2. Target Selection — Which products the promotion applies to
  3. Eligibility Rules — Which customers or carts qualify
  4. Display Components — How the promotion is shown on the storefront
  5. Schedule & Limits — When the promotion is active and how often it can be used

When a customer visits your store, Ezhance runs through each step in order. If any step fails, the promotion does not apply.

Step 1 — Choose a Promotion Type

The promotion type defines what the customer receives. Available types are:

Free version

  • Simple Discount — Percentage or fixed amount off a product's price
  • Bulk Discount — Tiered pricing based on quantity purchased

Pro version

  • Cart Discount — Discount applied to the entire cart total
  • Buy X Get X — BOGO-style promotions with the same product as the reward
  • Buy X Get Y — Cross-product rewards where the gift differs from the qualifying item
  • Order Coupon — Generate a future-use coupon after a qualifying order

Step 2 — Select Targets

Targets define which products receive the promotion effect. Without a target, Ezhance has nothing to discount.

  • Free: Specific products only
  • Pro: Product categories, tags, attributes, and sale item exclusions

Step 3 — Configure Eligibility Rules

Eligibility rules determine whether a particular customer or cart qualifies. Without any rules, the promotion applies to everyone. Rules let you restrict promotions by cart subtotal, customer role, purchase history, shipping address, date, and more.

  • Free: Cart subtotal and cart item count
  • Pro: Cart weight, coupon conditions, payment method, customer role, email, purchase history, billing/shipping address, and shop date/time

Step 4 — Configure Display Components

Display components communicate promotions to customers before and during checkout. Without a display component, discounts still apply but customers may not see the offer messaging.

  • Offer Card — Shows promotion details on product pages
  • Tier Pricing Table — Shows bulk discount tiers on product pages
  • Countdown Timer (Pro) — Displays a live countdown to the promotion end date
  • BOGO Reward Card (Pro) — Shows the gift product on qualifying product pages
  • Progress Message (Pro) — Cart-level message showing how close the customer is to qualifying

Step 5 — Schedule and Limits

Control when the promotion runs and how many times it can be used:

  • Start / End Date — Optional date range for the promotion
  • Priority — Determines which promotion wins when multiple match the same product
  • Usage Limit — Maximum number of times the promotion can be applied

Example Promotion

A 20% discount on T-Shirts for orders over $100 during June:

  • Type: Simple Discount — 20%
  • Target: Category = T-Shirts
  • Eligibility: Cart Subtotal ≥ $100
  • Display: Offer Card
  • Schedule: June 1–30

Result: Customers who add $100 or more of T-Shirts to their cart during June automatically receive 20% off those products.
