Order Coupons generate after an order is completed — not during browsing, cart, or checkout. If you're not seeing the coupon, work through this checklist.
How Order Coupons Work
Ezhance generates an order coupon only after verifying all of the following:
- The promotion is Active
- The order meets all eligibility conditions
- The order has reached the required WooCommerce status
- All customer and purchase history conditions pass
- The promotion is within its scheduled dates
- Usage limits have not been exceeded
Common Causes
Promotion not Active
Verify the promotion status is Active in Ezhance → Promotions.
Order doesn't meet eligibility requirements
If you've set an order total threshold (e.g., Cart Subtotal ≥ $200), the order must reach that amount. Verify the order total against all configured eligibility rules.
Order not completed
Order Coupons only generate when an order reaches the required WooCommerce order status (typically "Completed" or "Processing"). Pending, Failed, or Cancelled orders will not trigger coupon generation.
Testing during checkout
A common mistake: expecting the coupon to appear on the cart or checkout page. Coupons only appear after the order is completed — on the Thank You page or in the order confirmation email.
Display location not configured
Verify that the voucher display is set to appear on the Thank You Page, Order Email, or both. If no display location is selected, the coupon is generated but not shown.
Customer conditions not met
If the promotion is restricted to VIP customers or a specific role, the customer completing the order must match those conditions.
Purchase history conditions not met
If you've required a minimum order count or spend history, the customer's existing history must satisfy those requirements.
Promotion schedule expired
Verify the promotion's start and end dates. Orders placed outside the scheduled window won't generate coupons.
Usage limit reached
Once the maximum usage count is hit, the promotion stops generating coupons for new orders.
Email delivery issues
If the coupon is configured to appear in the order email, check that WooCommerce email is configured correctly. Test with the Thank You page display first to rule out delivery issues.
Ezhance Pro not installed
Order Coupons are a Pro feature. Ezhance Pro must be installed and activated.
Testing Approach
- Create a simple order coupon with no eligibility conditions first
- Complete a test order and verify the coupon appears on the Thank You page
- Once the basic flow works, add eligibility conditions one by one
- Check both the Thank You page and order email displays
