Billing Conditions

Restrict promotions based on the customer's billing address — city, state, country, and postcode. Requires Ezhance Pro.

Billing Conditions evaluate the customer's billing address entered at checkout. They're useful for geographic targeting, regional campaigns, and country-specific promotions. Requires Ezhance Pro.

Available Conditions

Billing City

Targets customers with a specific billing city (e.g., Chennai, New York, London).

Use cases: Local store promotions, city-specific marketing campaigns.

Billing State

Targets customers in a specific state or province (e.g., California, Tamil Nadu, Ontario).

Use cases: State-based tax promotions, regional sales campaigns.

Billing Country

Targets customers from a specific country (e.g., India, United States, Canada).

Use cases: Country-specific promotions, international campaign targeting.

Billing Postcode

Targets customers in a specific postcode or ZIP code (e.g., 600001, 90210).

Use cases: Hyper-local promotions, local delivery area discounts.

Combining Conditions

Multiple billing conditions work together with AND logic. All conditions in a group must pass:

  • Billing Country = United States AND Billing State = California → California customers only
  • Billing Country = India AND Billing City = Chennai → Chennai customers only

Billing vs. Shipping Conditions

Customer may ship to a different addressCustomer may bill to a different address

Use Cases

  • Country-specific promotional campaigns
  • State/region-based loyalty programs
  • Local business promotions targeting a specific city
  • Postcode-level hyperlocal marketing

Best Practices

  • Use country-level conditions for broad geographic campaigns.
  • Combine country + state conditions for regional campaigns rather than relying on state alone (state names repeat across countries).
  • Be cautious with postcode-based conditions — postcodes change and require ongoing maintenance.
  • Test with real billing addresses that both qualify and don't qualify before activating.
