BOGO Campaign Best Practices

  • Display a BOGO Reward Card on the qualifying product page — customers need to see the offer before they add to cart.
  • Set usage limits per customer (1–2) on BOGO campaigns to prevent bulk exploitation.
  • Use Offer Safety Score — BOGO reward pricing can hit low margins if the reward product has thin gross margin.
  • For BXGX, set the qualifying quantity above your typical average order quantity so customers have a reason to stretch.
  • For BXGY, ensure the reward product is clearly related to the qualifying product — unrelated pairings see low uptake.
  • Review analytics after 2 weeks — if reward redemption rate is below 15%, the qualifying threshold may be too high.
