WooCommerce Seasonal Promotions

Set up scheduled promotions for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, summer sales, and other seasonal events — with start/end dates, targeted product discounts, countdown timers (Pro), and automatic display components.

Seasonal Promotion Workflow

Seasonal campaigns need precise scheduling, targeted products, visible countdown urgency, and a way to turn them off at exactly the right time. Ezhance handles each of these — without requiring custom code.

1

Schedule Start and End

Set a start date/time and end date/time for the promotion. It activates and deactivates automatically — no manual intervention required.

2

Target the Right Products

Select specific products, variations (Free) or categories and tags (Pro). Other products remain at full price.

3

Set the Discount

Percentage off, fixed amount off, or a fixed unit price. Strikeout pricing displays automatically on product and category pages.

4

Add a Countdown Timer

Pro: a countdown timer on product pages creates urgency. Synced to the promotion end date — counts down to zero and disappears when the promotion ends.

5

Review Safety Score

Check the Offer Safety Score before publishing — especially for broad seasonal campaigns that target many products.

6

Monitor Analytics

Track how many orders included the seasonal promotion and total revenue attributed to the campaign in Ezhance analytics.

Seasonal Campaign Templates

Black Friday / Cyber Monday

20–30% off selected products. Schedule Thursday midnight to Monday midnight. Countdown timer (Pro). Check Safety Score — BFCM campaigns often target many products simultaneously.

Christmas Sale

Buy X Get Y on gift-paired products. Schedule from Dec 1 to Dec 23. Announcement bar (Pro) across all pages. Focus targeting on gift-suitable items only.

Summer Sale

Bulk pricing on seasonal products to increase order volume. Target seasonal SKUs only. No countdown timer needed — run for 4 weeks.

End-of-Season Clearance

Simple discount on end-of-season SKUs only. Deep discount (30–50%) acceptable since clearance stock is already earmarked. Set per-promotion usage limit.

Seasonal Promotion Best Practices

  • Create the promotion draft 1–2 weeks before the campaign to allow time for Safety Score review and adjustments.
  • Use category targeting (Pro) for broad seasonal campaigns — easier to manage than selecting products individually.
  • Enable sale item exclusion (Pro) so products already on sale don't receive an additional seasonal discount.
  • Set a usage limit per customer (2–3) on cart discount seasonal promotions to limit single-customer over-redemption.
  • Use the announcement bar (Pro) sitewide to maximize awareness during the campaign window.
  • After the promotion ends, check analytics to see which products drove the most seasonal revenue.
